Do you know how to add Epson printer to Windows 11? In this guide, I am going to explain how you can add an Epson printer of any model to Windows 11. Recently, one of my cousins got his new Epson printer. Since he is not tech-savvy like me, he called me to help him set up the printer in no time. He was using a Windows 11 PC, so I had to guide him through all the basic steps accordingly.
There are many ways to add an Epson printer to a computer. I taught my cousin one of the methods as he was in a rush and didn’t have much time to learn all of them at once. But don’t worry. You are lucky here, and I am going to teach you three different ways that will help you add your printer without any hassle.
Method 1: Using a Wired Network
On Windows 11, we can connect Epson printer to computer using a USB or Ethernet cable. I recommended this method to my cousin’s brother as it was the simplest one. Using this method, you can also learn to add Epson printer to Windows 11. All you need is a USB or Ethernet cable.
Perform the instructions given below to add a printer using a wired connection:
- In the beginning, you have to turn on the Windows PC.
- After that, you will need to arrange any one cable (Ethernet or USB).
- Connect the cable’s one end to the printer and computer’s port.
- After that, you have to return to the PC’s screen and navigate to Settings by clicking on the Start menu.
- Next, move to the Printers and scanners window.
- Finally, you just have to add your printer and connect it.
If you don’t want to connect using a wired network, then you can use another wireless method. Below, there are two methods, and both are wireless connections. Let’s take a look at them one by one. Make sure you follow each and every step carefully.
Method 2: With Wireless Protocol
In order to add Epson printer to Windows 11 using a wireless protocol, make sure that their devices have the new versions of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Follow the steps to add your printer using Wireless Protocol:
- First of all, you have to ensure that your printer and PC are connected to the same network. Whether it is Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, it should be the same for both.
- After that, you will need to open Settings.
- Then, select Printers and scanners.
- Next, you will need to hit the Add a device option.
- Afterward, a drop-down will appear.
- Connect the printer and select the option that says: Add device.
- Also, input the PIN after being prompted.
- Lastly, confirm the printer that you have added to your system.
Besides, below is one more method that you can try to add Epson printer to Windows 11 wirelessly.
Method 3: Through a Wi-Fi Network
You can use this method only when your printer is compatible with Wi-Fi Direct for connection. I have explained the steps below; make sure you follow them correctly. Here are the simplified steps to add your printer to Windows 11 using Wi-Fi.
- Start by enabling Wi-Fi Direct pairing on your printer.
- Then, you have to navigate to Settings on your Windows 11 PC.
- Next, move to the Printers and Scanners section.
- After that, you have to click on Add device.
- Here, you don’t have to add the printer manually, but select the option saying – show Wi-Fi Direct printers. (This option will be visible only when your printer supports Wi-Fi Direct.)
- Also, you have to input the WPS PIN, including other requisite credentials.
